2024/25 Jarrad Branthwaite

Ive no idea to be honest mate, our last set of accounts we posted a £90 mill loss, granted that two years ago now. So many variables go into it to be able to work it out accurately, especially as the financial year runs to June 30th. I guess I'm trying to work out do we have to sell Branthwaite to comply this year and could TFG waive a 180k week contract in his face and say give us five years, your going to be the corner stone of what we are going to do here.

Im not sure on interest payments - isn't that the dispute with the PL in terms of how we account for them for PSR.
Well, i'm just thinking in terms of our bottom line i.e. rather than arguing about whether that interest is deductable or not in PSR terms, if the loans are repaid early then it ultimately saves a load of interest and therefore our overall profit increases/ we lose less money this financial year.

Obviously no-one really knows what our PSR position is but this is potentially quite a significant financial saving so it has to help. 🤷‍♂️

Aside from his ability, he’s always yappin.

Literally what we need atm.
Leads by example, so assured with and without the ball, positioning is clinical and in the rare occasion he gets it wrong he can recover - he’s one of the best I’ve seen at his age in that position.

Add to this the fact that he ain’t afraid to organise and instruct those around him to do their jobs better, who will continue to get better - he’s everything Keane isn’t.

A potential world class cb, and easily a future Everton and England captain.

Dan the man will try and build the team around JB and so he should. The PSR position with BMD should help us offer a very good contract to the lad.

Delighted he’s back and hope he stays fit, he did more to sort us out on Saturday than anything Dyche and his coaching team have done.

Everton and incoming owner Dan Friedkin will be unwilling to sell star man Jarrad Branthwaite in January, sources have told Football Insider.

Sources say Friedkin, who has agreed to purchase Farhad Moshiri’s 94% stake at Goodison Park, is keen to not send out the wrong signals to Evertonians or other Premier League clubs by selling the 22-year-old.
