2024/25 Jarrad Branthwaite

Sounds like this is still an ongoing issue with the groin and his recovery is still being managed. If he isn’t ready for full training on a Tuesday after a Saturday game it’s clearly still an issue.

If so may have to reluctantly accept that Dyche may have been doing the right thing being cautious with his minutes. We don’t want another DCL situation on our hands, and the one thing you can credit Dyche with is managing that well.
Why "reluctantly accept" ?
Why not accept he's an experienced manager who's seen and knows far more than us about football. He'll not get everything right but he'll simply do what he thinks is right given a particular set of circumstances.

Again, we have 6-7 training injuries and from players that werent hurt before. So why would we believe that a guy who was just fine playing 90 minutes, and is currently fine playing, and is so fine playing hes been called up to the u-21 squad, is hurt so that he cant play. Except he can play. But magically only a certain number of minutes before he gets injured, so that is Dyche "protecting" him.

It’s just nonsense.

For all Dyche’s many many many faults, he finally fixed Dom. Probably one of our better recent managers for managing injuries/workload despite all the Twitter physios knowing better. Suspect if we don’t see JB against Brentford, it’s because there is still concern, not because he’s demanded £450k a week to stay til next Summer and Dyche farted on his overnight oats.

No point him travelling with England if they’ve assessed him and don’t think he will play. Sick of England taking players to tournaments thinking they might possibly hopefully be fit for the semi final second half. Injured for first match = go on holiday.

It did, I literally said either hes either safe to play or shouldn't even be on the bench. That hes either fine, or Dyche isnt protecting him but instead the opposite, putting him in danger.

"Its insane to me to say that a player isnt fit to play but hes literally playing. The only other alternative is to say Dyche is putting him in danger by playing him right now. If thats true then you cant say Dyche is doing a good job of protecting him while hes literally putting him in danger."

Also, why was he called up to the u-21s when injured, and why was he THEN called up to the main team when they knew he was injured and unable to play?
