I should imagine he'll have a lot of mental barriers to overcome himself. Maybe Carlo was right and he was ready to join the squad a couple of weeks back but the player doesn't feel confident/ready, so Everton are letting him continue to train individually currently.

He’s not going to be playing in a month though is he.

4 weeks away... I'd add a couple of weeks to that, then double it. That'll give him time to do his ACL before the end of the season.
