This Jelavic situation is a bit like Fellainis situation.
If he stays, great! If he goes, new exciting players coming in.
Win win situation imo.

Hahaha!!

I've just had enough of the Croatian offside king. Bloody Denis played better than him FFS!!!

I hope he comes good, but see no reason why he will. He might I guess, but he might not.

No he didn't like, even playing poorly Jelavic scored goals, 1 goal Denis isn't fit to lace his boots.

Ok mate, like your thinking.

Just to pour cold water on it though

1) He's 29. We've already spent similar on Kone and two strikers that age with no sell on potential is not really the Everton way of transfers.

2) He was the top goalscorer in the Confed Cup and a regular for Brazil. Would he really be available for £5m? Can't see it myself

3) Brazilian strikers, as a rule, are f*cking terrible in England.

Has a buyout clause of 1.9m they said in the confed cup games. Would never leave Brazil though so makes no odds.

A lot of the papers are saying Darren Bent would be available for 5-6 million as well as defoe (although i doubt that more).

What would anyone think to getting rid of Jelavic for 6 mil and bringing in Bent or Defoe for about the same price? upgrade or not worth it?

Id be reasonably happy with Bent, think we could get him firing again but id like to see Jela given a chance with the new system that doesnt involve running down the channels like hes finishing a marathon on his last legs

Spending 5-6m on one ageing striker was understandable. Spending another load on a highly paid ageing striker would be a step too far and a big mistake in my eyes.

Fred off
Jo On

Is still me favourite substitution of all time though. In fact, it's weird to have a favourite substitution isn't it?

WHAT? Does he?!

Why on earth aren't teams snapping that up?

Exactly.

Because it isn't true.

Jelavic was awesome in form and with confidence high. Let Martinez give him a go.

Also selling our main striker with no replacement in is a terrible idea. Look what happened to the RS last season
