Jermaine Jenas sacked by the BBC

Jermaine Jenas has told the Sun newspaper, he is "ashamed" and has "let everybody down" after being sacked as a BBC presenter.

Jenas, who is married with four children, told the paper he is receiving
therapy and accepted he "fell below [the] standards" of the BBC.

Nice, goes off to The Scum rag and sells his story for money.

Tells the world he is undergoing therapy as it's really himself who is the 'victim'

Cites the BBC has having 'standards'.

He is digging a hole here.

Not read the story but if he is saying he let everyone down and he is undergoing therapy, it’s taking responsibility rather than playing the victim.

Chances are he had to tell the story to the Sun because they had more dirt on him.

In the space of 24 hours, he has gone full circle.

From 'two sides to every story' and threatening the BBC with his lawyers, today he is 'sorry and ashamed'.

I mean he said it was with his lawyers, not that he was setting them on the bbc.
If there is a multimillion contract at stake, he would be foolish to go on talk sport and shoot from the hip. Basically said his lawyers would look at the case and he can’t say anything.
There is of course two sides to every story. Obviously if his mrs isnt going to interested whether he thought the text were mutual.
End of the day, hes been caught with his pants down and his not really got a leg to stand on.
Apologising and getting help is the grown up thing to do. Not going to save his job at the bbc but might get a career back on track in some capsity.

I
Im not defending him. But what would you do in this situation?
He took advice and following a course of action.
unless I’m mistaken, this is a “married man text another woman from work shock”.
Tbh, I'm just sick of and very sceptical about the modern stance to cast yourself as a victim when you are caught doing something and blame it all on some multiple-letter mental syndrome. Then you say you are getting treatment and, in the unlikely event that anyone felt offended by your actions, you apologise from the bottom of your heart.

No. You (allegedly) liked to put it about and send inappropriate texts to juniors in their twenties who didn't know how to react because you were a star and they were just starting out in the business. You (correctly) got busted. End of your story. Sod off to the golf course instead of selling your pity pleas to the Sun.
