Jermaine Pennant anyone?

Well he's been involved in 13 matches this season and has missed two or three. That isn' bad. You could say the same about the likes of Pienaar, Cahill and Hibbert.

It's far to early to judge what type of signing he'll be. We'll just have to wait and see how many games we get out of him and how many goals he scores.

I don't think he is world class, he simply hasn't proved it and injuries have stopped him from reaching his potentially. Do I think he was potentially world class...yes I do. Obviously that's just my opinion.

If you look at his 'actual' contribution though and take his goals out, he has contributed next to nothing.
He is never going to be fit, he will come in trying to get match fit, break down and were back to square one. It was a desperation signing by Moyes and thats being kind about it

He has contributed 3 goals in 8 starts which isn't bad at all, a strikers job is to score goals. He's contributed more than any other striker on our books if where talking goal to game ratio.

He looked off the pace when he first came, I'd agree with that. His last few games though his all round game was excellent. He was class against Spurs.

We'll have to wait and see how Louis Everton career develops. I'm not saying he is going to be a good signing but I'm certainly not going to right him off. Not my style.

I think in time it will prove to be a good signing, hes never gonna get a long run of games, but we paid next to nothing for him and he is a good player. I mean define a good signing and bad signing.

Good Arteta, Cahill
Bad VDM

Its too early to say, if he never plays well it wasnt a good idea, but he is playing more than i thought in fairness, but if he doesnt play, im fairly sure we wont have to give United much money, so its almost a pay as you play, plus his wages, so its win, win in my eyes.

Its hardly win win if he doesnt play! We could have got a striker who plays now that would have been win win

At this moment in time he's given us 13 games this season, hopefully there's more to come.

With a cheap transfer fee and clauses for staying out of trouble he might be useful. With the exception of that one season on Brum has he ever been effective though?

He got 12 assists in his first season at Liverpool which suprised me. In all competitions obviously.

Desperation would have been us paying 5M for him.

Hardly desperation based on what we got him for.

Really a no risk deal.
