2024/25 Jesper Lindstrom

I thought it was a tough slog for him last night. Coming off the back of what must have been a hard season for him in Italy we really need to get his confidence up. I can't see Dyche giving him a start in the league any time soon.
Though my negativity towards Dyche the jackanory and internet troll pin up doll Maupay had influenced my thoughts... Not even top six match fit let alone Dyche fit.

I think he'll end up being a useful squad player but it's a bit of a weird transfer. He's clearly not a natural winger which is what we needed. If he was the alternative to gnonto that some reports said he was....its odd completely different player

Guys, as a fellow dane, i have been following Lindstrøm for many years. he is NOT a winger. He was a 10 in Brøndby and 10 in Frankfurt were he played magnificent. He needs space to run, he needs to play off a striker and he i dangerous in transition and high tempo.. but he is not a winger. He was a winger in Napoli and failed, and as long as Dyche insist to play him at right flank, we will only see half of the player he is.

In my opinion, it should be Ndiaye at left, Lindstrøm central and McNeil at right. i cant believe our gaffer cant see that.
Oh I can believe it my great big Danish friend...... McNeill in a central role is as promising as Carmen Elecktra expecting me to last more than 10 seconds when we finally hook up.

played some great balls into the box (apart from that cross in the first half which I think is still in the air) and always dropped off into the space looking for the ball between the lines - Exactly what you would expect from a decent 10.

Miles off the pace though, but I think a few more favourable league cup games (hopefully - please be kind draw gods) could get him there.

Fair analysis mate, notice though everything he did well was when he drifted inside , he's not a winger.

Yeah.

And suspect could do with some time to find his edge and adjust to pace of the league to play in the middle.

Maybe fans will see why maybe lashing new lads in from the off might not be the best option - certainly long term for the player.

Just read apparently he's only started once or something this calendar year. May take a bit longer than we'd all like for him to get up to speed.

I thought he looked a bit off the pace the other night but still got an assist to his name. Also looks quite quick as well so I'm happy to be patient with him as I yearn for fast Everton players.
