An extremely inconsistent player
I mean i think using the word ‘great’ is a bit ironic when you’re accusing people of being knee jerk isn’t it? He had a good game against spurs, the others I’d say he’s done fine but not been a particular standout. That’s not a criticism, he’s played his part which is great, but he still hasn’t looked worth buying to me even in this ‘good’ run.
Hes not scored a goal for 2 years.Thing is mate the only player in attacking positions that has looked very good is Ndiaye - the one player that kinda relies on being instinctive not systematic.
I look at Lindstrom and see a player with a great first touch, good movement and trying to play quick one you h give and go passes. But if the guy linking that all up is Doucoure then you are screwed.
The bollox about him being weak, no fight etc, yeah not you but from others, makes me yawn, same crap getting spewed against this lad generally by the same posters got said about Gordon.
Too weak, no fight, can't finish, it's tiring to see, and in a tears time the same lads will be skating us for letting said player go.

DCL, famously, is never criticised for his inability to finish. Cracking comparison. In total minutes that's less time played btw than DCL has had twice in two years for us.
He played about 500 minutes for Napoli. For us less minutes than ten full games, stuck the stat up the other day but Pienaar averaged I think a goal ever 9/10 full games. In a side infinitely better than the current one.

I think you've got a blind spot with Lindstrom. One of the only opportunities he has to get a cross in first half and he ballooned it out.One of the only balanced posts today, first half one of the only players who looked sharp, defensively solid, btw soon as he came off Bournemouth immediately created a chance they should have scored from down that side, ten minutes later Harrison got one twod for another great chance.
But yeah ignore that first half only garner played well let's blame the forums favourite whipping boy again.

I see a player with a fragile confidence, lacking on the ball, lacking in goals and assists and just not being good enough.
Nothing personal against him, I just don't rate him. There is no way we should be looking to sign him.
I mean he wasnt average, he stank, along with 8 or 9 others.Fair enough and maybe I do have a bit of a blind spot mate, thing is a few posters in the first half decided he was the player they'd focus on criticising, not Tarks, not Gueye, not Doucoure, for me that's just trying to drive an agenda.
First half he was average in a team playing crap.

Do you think he was one of the worst three in the team before he was subbed?…but he was poor, Matey, that’s why he got withdrawn. You have to say it as you see it, the lad seems far from a whipping boy to me but he will draw criticism when he fails to perform.
I think he’s better than Harrison but if that’s the extent of the discussion, surely we can send them both back and spend the monies on better elsewhere.
Harrison made a huge difference when he came on so I think you’d have to say the sub was the right call to be honest.Do you think he was one of the worst three in the team before he was subbed?
Personally I don’t. And I think he was markedly better from ht until he got hooked.
However, unless Napoli are willing to do a deal at £15m or under, I think we wish him well and find someone else.
