Shocked people thought he played ok. I thought he was completely ineffective and was part of the reason we lost. He offered absolutely nothing

See when Ramsdale saved a direct free kick really well, who took that shot?

He did more than Ndaiye yesterday and more than McNeil.

Not really sure that Dyche and coaches can improve attacking players.

They've probably spent most of the time getting him to track back.

Not judging him as a footballer until I’ve seen him play for a proper manager who plays him in his actual position and not as an auxiliary full back.

I was at the game. Thought he struggled first half but kept at it and improved second half and involved both with some of our best attacking moments and tracked back well.

Still lacking in confidence and at times in the first half looked like a pub player but there’s a player in here and I would persevere with him

When he took Ndiaye off and the camera went on Lindstrom about two minutes late doubled over gasping for breath after tracking back I was a bit confused tbh.

I think he showed that he could possibly be a bit more effective than Harrison (who wouldn't?). He definitely has a bit of pace and directness.

He tracked back to shut down one of their better chances. He put in some good balls. Good free kick.

He still struggles 1v1 and he moves into the wrong space about half of the time, but I am seeing some improvement.

We need a winger for 1 on 1's. A no.10 will struggle with that but I bet you he can find space as a No.10

I haven't seen anything to think that he's going to perform at a level that elevates us.

I don't think he played well for a majority of the game. He doesn't need to be Richarlison or anything, but I would like to see him a bit braver going into challenges. He tracks back but he needs to actually get stuck in and play that side of the ball better.

As for on the ball, hit or miss. He seemed much better the second Ndiaye was subbed off (maybe that was a gesture from Dyche to give him a bit of confidence) as I can assume he is worried about being benched again. He needs to take his chance. He plays really good balls into the box and his movement can be great, but he has to do more. He has to be the one to prove Dyche wrong.

He was OK, with the standard for OK set for our forward players set very very low.

Crossed for Keane with a wonder save from Ramsdale, crossed for Tarkowski to nod back and Beto hit the bar.

Ok the cross for keane was decent so he did one thing. The tarkowski one was just a standard backpost cross. I'm not sure those two contributions really warrant suggesting he had a good game.

Often in the first half he was breaking down our attacks with poor pieces of play or a poor first touch etc. The majority of the second half he was missing too.

He's also another who likes to crack jokes with the other team and I'm really against that, it suggests he's not focused on what he should be doing and that is helping Everton win football matches.

He wasn't the only one not up to it yesterday but at the same time he's a new player and he's not showing anything that really improves us.

I saw glimpses of quality yesterday.

Attitude looked good which I'm happy with.

I never like to judge overseas players in their first season but it's difficult when we have few options and need them to hit the ground running.
