2024/25 Jesper Lindstrom

Thing that jumped out at me from first game, that I got heat on here for, is that he looks like he has the heart of a mouse and is extremely light weight. He might be good technically but he’s too easy to push off the ball, no dig about him at all.

Yeah I agree but tried to give him benefit of the doubt because I thought I saw him try to track back and put himself up a bit more recently but he's offering nothing more than Harrison at the mo and not sure what else he has in his locker.

Watched him closely yesterday, he's never making it as a player here, hasn't got the fight required.
Everytime he got the ball, he played a very simple 5 yard pass inside, I guess he was employed to beat the full back and put the ball into the area?
This guys a fraud, until he starts showing he can cope, shouldn't be anywhere near the first team.

For me what stands out with this guy is that he always wants to be someone's mate on the other team. Always chatting to the opposition on the pitch or being friendly. This is a player who hasn't scored a competitive goal for nearly 2 seasons right? And now he's also gone public talking up how good his mate Hojlund is, who also can't score for toffee in the league (queue him scoring today). He needs to leave that stuff out and start showing something else because he's only been getting a run in the team by default because the others weren't doing enough.

But he reminds me of Kroldrup but in a different position. He doesn't look suited for this league and looks like he never will be. You've got to have something more about you and his mentality just isn't there. He has a bit of pace but everything else seems well off and the mentality and attitude he shows is of someone who thinks he's made it when in reality he's shown very little and this being in some of the easier games in the Premier league.

I think we should have bought a winger to play on the wing and not a No.10. We have 2 x No.10 on the wings and a winger playing No.10. Good management by Dyche. Would also like to see Harrison sometimes play on the left so he doesn't have to cut in to get it on his left foot. Square pegs round holes

I think Thelwell would rather play with 2 no10s then a striker up top, its Dyche trying to play with wingers. Wingers pinging crosses into a target man is largely seen as a bit of a defunct tactic these days unless you are Dyche.

I think he might be dropped today.

I was thinking was Youngs upturn in form due to Lindstrom offering him a little more on that side, but Young just seems to have played his way into form regardless of who has been in front of him.

That was in the second half, I noticed that myself and in the past I have defended him myself. But no one can deny, you look at almost every other team in the premier league and you will always see another option...a fullback bombing past the winger, you know something that might distract the fullback. Not at Everton you won't, not while we have a Dinosaur like Dyche in charge. But still I would have liked Lindstrom to at least take on the fullback now an again.
