The only 29 years old signing who turn out well was Hanez, I don’t see lingard at the same level. Just another reject from a top 4 side looking for a big fat contract well into the retirement age of 33. He won’t be stupid to limit himself to a 2 years contract, why would he.Walcott’s biggest asset was his pace so signing an aging Walcott made no sense
Lingard is a creative midfield who scores and assists, a lot of these peak at around this age so it’s different really
If the lad wanted to play football he would of left UTD years ago.Don't think so - his contract only finished today.
Suspect the reports linking him to Everton and now Spurs is likely fuelled by his representatives to force the issue with West Ham.

The arl classic 'i want to fight for my place here'
He is now looking for the next cash cow.
In your list you’ve literally got at least 5 or 6 players who were all good signings, who played well for a time and had their careers absolutely ruined by injury. You’ve also got King who was here for 6 months, Kenny who would’ve been on nothing in terms of money.Players to leave Everton on free transfers in recent years:
Tosun
Delph
Kenny
Sigurdsson
King
Walcott
Besic
Bolasie
Williams
Then you have players like Bernard and James who went for nominal sums, due to high wages.
I'm not saying wages were the reason for everyone on that list, but it certainly was a major factor why we couldn't sell. Gomes and Mina are current examples.

Walcott and Sigurdsson are the 2 signings that stand out as awful deals from the start in every aspect, that’s fair enough. The rest are either made up of good players that were incredibly unlucky, players that we overpaid for but could’ve still been fine but again mostly injuries ruined them or else players that we didn’t pay much for and weren’t on that high of money.
I can’t be arsed to look up ages so this off the top of my head but the below signings definitely improved us:The only 29 years old signing who turn out well was Hanez,

Gareth Barry
James
Allan
Distin
Saha
Then there are underwhelming signings who probably did improve us too:
Townsend
Walcott
Lennon
lingard is better than our other midfielders, it’s a fact
