Im not one, who berates players as being role models, id have a very high bar of someone being a Ted, because i want them to be good at football and not teach me moral lessons, if someone wants to do a funny dance, wear a dress or dressing grown on tick tock - each to there own, live and let live. I dont look to footballers as role models for moral life lessons.
Ive been watching him over the last few weeks though as a professional, going into to a new role at a new club for the cost you are looking to invest, you should be motivated, prepared and committed. He should be somewhere with a squad now getting his head down and following his new clubs fitness protocols in preseason and embedding himself in the team culture, partnerships, plans and tactics, philosophy etc. There are games in two weeks. Stinks to me of a bad self indulgent, entitled attitude, while its hard not to think finance is the motivating factor rather than ambition or commitment. I wouldn't be surprised if we see comments in the early part of the season - where his new manager says, Jessie will be great in a few weeks when he gets fully fit - more to come.
I think hes a very good player, i think he would improve us, does he pass the attitude test for the investment, it would be a no from me. Just my take mate.
