Putting a young untested goalkeeper into the current Everton team could wreck him for years to come. It could be a complete nightmare for the lad. Someone should sit Pickford down and explain that when you are going well and the English press build you up to be world class doesn't mean your world class, get your head down and work.

When the manager can't seem to get through to Richarlison that staying on his feet makes him a more effective player,it's a big ask.

Not wrong, but on the flip side, he'll likely never get more premier league practice at making saves than with this defence ;)

Play him against a top side when he’s not ready = possibly messes up, massive hit to confidence, bad result for Everton and the player may regress

a) Pick a young 19 year old Keeper without a single First team game in his entire life
or
b) An experienced Keeper with countless games under his belt having stared in a World Cup a few months previously.
