....from what I’ve seen, Virginia isn’t very good. We’ve got 3 poor goalkeepers & its s matter of who is the least worst. I’d say Virginia is the worst.

We really need some decent keepers in the squad. If Virginia is highly thought of, he’d have been given a new deal by now. Let’s hope he just has a worldy tonight, but I’d be disappointed if he gets a new contract.

He got a new one earlier in the season expires 2024.

...yep, I thought that was the case. Very odd decision. Surprised nobody has posted his howlers for Reading.

It worries me as well and he made a couple in the 23s also but all keepers make them and he's young enough to learn. Maybe getting in this way might be the making of him. Next season I would have him as 3rd choice keeper and have him starting EFL games if we qualify for Europe. I agree GK is a position that needs improvement but I'm hopeful Virginia can maybe progress to being a decent back up in the next few years.

In which case our 5 th choice keeper behind Tyrer would likely be Nico Hansen, who’s nowhere near 1st team level.

Leban wasn't even on the bench for the 18s so I wonder if he's deemed ahead of Hansen and might be with the first team squad just in case he's needed.

That would be a big step up for Leban , I don’t think he’s even got U23s minutes yet , it would certainly be a marker on being highly rated if so.

Hes been on the 23s bench a few times. It's just a guess though. I think there will only be one keeper on the bench but there is normally a 3rd knocking about just in case something goes wrong in the warm up.
