The loan system seems to benefit clubs like Chelsea who develop a lot of young players to sell on. We've not been in the position or had the players to do that. Holgate is probably the only player in recent times where we have benefited on his return.

...I’d add Coleman but neither were Academy products. I’m not a fan of loaning players, folk always assume the arrangement will work out well, but that’s rarely the case when it comes to our players.

Had that one ropey moment where I think Godfrey could have taken care of it better but well done on his league debut. Done all that was asked of him and will probably be needed next week.

This could be one of those very rare opportunities where he has the chance to stake a claim for the number 2 spot and no better match to sink or swim than Man City Next week

Worrying really.

He did okay but didn’t look at all convincing at any point, and as much as you’ve got the Gnabrys, Barkleys etc., there’s a reason Reading didn’t give him a game.

Hopefully Olsen is fit for next week.

He came for the ball but didnt get it so its either on virginia or a 50/50 really...not sure if he shouted when coming out.

Didnt have much to do otherwise.

Good if he can cement backup as hes on a long term deal and Olsen isnt very good.
