I am sure what Robles is being blamed for exactly.
Is he being blamed for not cutting out the pass from the midfielder ?
Is he being blamed because he was beaten on his near side when he gambled that the forward was going to go for the far corner.
He had a 50% of being right, but he got it wrong.

I thought it was the defence that was at fault , caught too square and left the goalkeeper with no protection.

Was quite embarrassing having a premier league goalkeeper time getting his hands in front of a shot incorrectly and instead letting a striker strike a ball straight into your face.

I can normally find something good to say about a player, heh, I mostly stick up for Ossie and Hibbert, but I'm struggling with Robles.
He has a tendency to act like a headless chicken in his area and he can't really kick a ball. Of all our "second" eleven he's the one that I really, really don't want to have to play.

At the risk of getting vaulted after he's added another medal to his collection, but for us this time, after a sublime display where he keeps a clean sheet, I'm just going to say that he's not good enough to play in the Premiership and he never will be.

Not only have his games for us been few and far between, meaning he gets no chance to settle, but don't think he has ever had the same CBs in front of of him. He made a bad mistake but those in front of him didn't help provide any cover. Not really their fault either as both are getting back from injury and are not an established pair anyway.

He really needs to be sent on loan to get some gametime under his belt and regain confidence.

Yesterday before the goal he did the same thing as what I usually do, I jump away from the guy who can shoot powerfully.

The thing for me was that the mistake that he made for the goal looked amateur. I would be surprised if a non league keeper made that mistake.

He could easily see that there were defenders there to block the cross, if he had any sense there would have been a quick look when the player had his back to goal to see if there were any attacking players in the box and then the massive movement away from goal was ridiculous.
