I've been skeptical of the idea that the defense is more confident with Robles in, but I have to say that's as well-organized as I've seen our defense look in a really long time. That's got to have something to do with him. I'll hold my hand up and admit I was wrong.

Most definitely. Jags and Mori always looked the better defenders, and that helps. Gotta give Joel his credit though. He's settled things well and hasn't done anything wrong. Played Joel.

He just does the simple things, really. The basics that you take for granted when you have an actual keeper in goal.

Hopefully he can make the number 1 spot his, and we can chart his improvement and try and gauge his ability and progress against actual keepers. Because as much as I like Joel, comparing any keeper to Howard makes them look like Neuer.

Looks every bit a premiership starting quality keeper, Howard doesn't, that should be all we need to say really

Side note, Butland is some bloody keeper though, kept the score semi respectable as without him would have been 6-7

The defense clearly feel a lot better knowing Joel is behind them. Bobby could make an awful lot of people unhappy, including the team I'm sure, if he brings Howard back in. Based on history, he seems likely to do just that.
