I looked at him to day that curling looping dangerous cross at the end his eyes were always on it before he caught it - basic I know , bit Timmy can,t do the basics!

It'll be a massive injustice if he does, and frankly I'd be throwing a transfer request in if I was Joel and I got dropped after playing like that, AGAIN.

Also Lennon and Cleverley help out the defence more on the wings and having McCarthy/Besic in the midfield makes us more solid.

Lots of bit and pieces but Robles big part in it imo.

It's still astonishingly bad management that it took an injury to Howard to see him replaced by Joel.

The most significant part for me is that Joel fits into the group; the core of what Martinez is aiming to bring to Everton.

Young, hungry, talented and need nurturing. He can grow with this squad and form part of the spine Martinez is trying to build.

He needs this season and next to prove himself; he could be our De Gea/Butland but we will only no that by him playing.

His frame, desire and personality is spot on; the basics he does very well. Thats half the battle. Decision making will come (although I do think he is quite good at this already) as will leadership (again tho I see him bossing our captain and senior pro's about already).

Martinez paid approx £250k for him; it could be one of his best bits of business. But he needs the chance. Praying it is now.

While he's not particularly has masses to do in his games it simply cannot be coincidence that we look better with him.

Could equally argue he has had a lot less to do in games because the defence doesn't go to pieces right now anytime we are under pressure and a LOT of that has to do with him being back there mate i think we both agree on that

Fact that we know without a shadow of a doubt we would be better off says a lot about Martinez waiting far too long to switch - hope to god he actually isn't injured and Martinez made that choice as at least it would show a willingness to admit a mistake finally and rectify it
