Oh it was a great free-kick mate. But, Robles just looks nervous from them. It invites the pressure, and especially when Snodgrass is so good at them. He knew if he hit the target, he'd score.
To hit the target Snodgrass curves, bends the ball like a leg break - it was aiming over the wall with speed 2-3 feet past Robles diving post, as he managed to get there the whip, and bend made the angle force of it impossible to keep out -analysis by Thierry Henry the master of free kicks at first I thought it was an error looking from behind the kick he had no chance - thing is your central defenders should deal with a donkey running through and not give a free kick away in that position - we had a warning 5 minutes before when he hit the bar and upright!

It was never a free-kick, Maguire dived.
However, Baines shouldn't have given the ref a decision to make.
Robles was all over the place from both of the free-kicks, his positioning was awful. Neither of our keepers are good enough.
Yes we need a keeper, but the signing of Stek was a grave error as he is worse than Robles that's three time RK has signed him !

I was disappointed as any blue , but stayed to watch the pundits look at it, and believe me he did well to get near it that Snodgrass my son 5 seasons ago when he was st Leeds reconed we should have signed him!
Agree mate, thought myself at the time that Robles did well getting anywhere near it, it was a great free - kick.

Regardless of the free kick, Robles is a very mediocre goalkeeper and hopefully will be plying his trade elsewhere by next season.
After he had a run I will give my thoughts on him never stated he was ideal , but the best we have ATM!
Watch the Stek return v Southampton with his dead leg and dodgy knees!
Robles needed a run last year when Timmy was crap yet undropable the we would have known for Deffo we needed a top keeper the problems in the outfield players is even more worriying imo
Meaning we seem to need to spend big money there may be a starlet keeper in the lower leagues, like another big Nev ?
RK team selections seem to be mind boggling too ATM!
Has stuffed us defensively last night I agree Robles looked edgy with him as did Williams, and the full backs he can't run?
