Joel Robles

Martinez and Koeman with their respective backroom staff see Robles and the other keeper's a lot more than we do in training on a daily basis.

This will be the reason Robles hasn't been picked as first choice at our club or any another club.

Steklenburg is Koemans reserve keeper, once he gets his first choice Robles will be out the door.

Martinez picked Howard "because his experience is more important than his performance" and Stek his Koeman's mate.

Two stupid reasons to select your goalkeeper.

unlike steck wont dive cant dive

Sadly Joseph I think you've just got massive hard on for Robles because he finally displaced Tim Howard, and nothing is going to convince you he isn't our saviour.

I'm also grateful for the above but Stek is better than Robles, but neither are good enough to take us forward. I'd like to see both binned at the end of the season, but if I had to keep one as backup it'd be Stek.

I think it might be worth you finding Dougie on Twitter and having an angry rant at him, you never got the chance to do it when his beloved Howard was dropped and the anger has subsequently eaten you up in this thread.

On the basis Stek is Koeman's mate, wouldn't have Robles been Martinez's mate because he had signed him twice? Sort of defeats your own argument.

Truth is, we don't see Robles every day. Koeman and Martinez and their staff have, and don't rate him to highly.

Steklenburg was bought to be back up, if we had bought another keeper Robles would have been gone already.

Unfortunately, that's the truth. He is not rated by the current staff, the previous staff and all his other clubs to be the number one keeper. He is a modern day Bobby Mimms.
