Joel and even Steleback (who was arguably our player of the month to start the season) have been better than expected. Goalkeeping was supposed to be a major weakness but while not spectacular has been solid.

Backline definitely needs to be upgraded before our keeper situation to compete with the top 6, but tbf to Mori and Williams they haven't been terrible. We also bring in the wingers as well and we can compete.
 

He gets a little better every season but a new goalkeeper is essential at the end of the season. Love his passion for the club but simply not good enough as first choice at Everton

The strikers didn't see the ball because we couldn't cope with being pressed until late on when Spurs were getting tired.

Joel was so late to react on the first and never should have rolled that ball out. We couldn't cope with being pressed and he puts us right under pressure by rolling it. Don't think he's at fault for the third though.

Nor at fault for the saves that may. Have gained us a undeserved point, the manager got the team wrong at 3pm!
Barry not been used much we can now see why!

The thing is a goalie can play decent regardless of the other ten. When he doesn't show up in a game where everyone else is struggling it becomes a massive problem. This is the type of game where he needs to be on top form

Your making it sound he never made any saves he's better than most keepers even the ones from Anfield a brick wall over our nets may have gained us a point today the way RK set that team out

He made saves and a couple of decent ones but keepers can't have a 50/50 game like other players. It's the nature of the job to be close to 100% and for him to have conceded two in fairly poor manner is not good enough in a tough away game
 
Our keepers usually cost us around 15 points a season with silly mistakes the top top class keepers save you around 15 points that's the difference i can't remember the last time we've been truly been happy with our keeper situation at the end of a season it must stretch back all the way to Moyes era :eek:

If Pickford is 10-13M I wouldn't complain. However I think we need a defender or 2 plus an attacking player and a striker 1st. Williams is old, Funes is not Mr. Reliable, Jags is off to a side like Brighton.

I like Leno from Leverkeusen but he gives up goals like a champ because they have absolutely no defense there.

I can't see us getting him that cheap mate struggle buy championship players with 12 million theses days it'll be around the 20 mark
