Judging by the things he did tonight, I think it's safe to assume Joel has been told he's surplus to requirements and he was saying goodbye this evening. He might get a game in the Europa qualifiers, but I reckon he'll be gone before then.

Nice lad, I wish him well.

What things did he do mate?

Thought he played well at least.

The last time the Heir of De Gea plays at Goodison.

We will remember him, not kindly, but we will.

As he was walking towards the Park End before the second half started he was clapping and waving, which, whether it's home or away, he never does. I think he did the same going towards the Gwladys in the first half too.

At the end of the game he went down on his knees and kissed the turf and, in the players lap of appreciation he was one of the most outgoing of the players, again clapping and waving.

I reckon he knew it was his last day at Goodison and he wanted to make the most of it. I guess it's possible he was made up at being told by Ronko that he was going to be first choice next season, but that seems unlikely.

He had a decent game yesterday, and he may well turn into a top class goalkeeper, but he isn't one at the moment, and I doubt Ronko is willing to let him learn on the job if there's someone better available now. That's OK for some outfield players, but the keeper's position is too important for that if we want to progress from 7th spot.

I like him and really hope he stays at Everton but I do think Koeman will go for another keeper in the summer. If it's Pickford I'll understand, I just don't want rubbish like Joe Hart

I would take Hart on a very, very reasonable loan/free. He's decent in a defensive setup which is more or less what we play.

Both Stek and Joel were probably avg to a bit better than avg this year which is a lot more than we should have expected last August. No keeper really lit the world on fire in the prem this year. They all made their fare share of mistakes.

If Joel isn't a No.1 next year I'd rather he be sold between the 2. He's much better as a starter than one who occasionally comes off the bench.
