With the likes of Stubbsey, Neville and Cars there is no way Barton would act up uin the dressing room City had no real strong characters who would of stood up to him he just realised he could get away with it there and so he did, barton is a great player a Blue and i think 5m is a steal if we can get him

Barton is an arsehole, he can play a bit but he remains an arsehole. Citeh had experienced pros in their changing room, what good did that do when he is flashing his arse, beating up team mates and insulting his manager. I can envisage that turd falling out with one and all at EFC at which point he'd do a citeh, straight to the papers, EFC will never be as good as LFC and [Poor language removed] like that, it is in his nature. Why anyone should think that older pros at Goodison would do any better than the likes of Stuart Pearce is beyond me, Barton is a cancer and should be avoided at all costs. Incidentally I don't see a mad rush to sign him by anyone, imo he'll have to go abroad, try Antartica:angry:

Yes.

We need a little [Poor language removed] in midfield.

Pmsl at the image of him squaring up to Stubbsy/Lescott/Yobo or Anichebe. They'd all knock the [Poor language removed] out of him.

I admit I'm a little worried that it may change our team spirit but I think it's a risk we should take personally.

No as much as a good 'deal' it would be price wise, money won't buy the team spirit moyes has gotten amongst the lads at the moment, will cost alot more if he wrecks it.

he is one big [Poor language removed], thats the difference. By the way Dabo, Distin and one or two others at Citeh are big lads, this nasty [Poor language removed] pearl Harbours people if the truth is known:angry:

He speaks very highly of you Monts! :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Just wait until I tell what I really think about him. I would honestly think about packing it all in if we stooped to bring [Poor language removed] like him to my great club(y)

Not what ive heard, the way i read it in a couple of places then heard it from his manager then caught in a few newspapers was that barton put a strong challenge in on dabo in training - he took it personal and made sure he caught barton back and that he felt it...then they square up and dabo takes the first shot... barton lays into him AND DOESNT STOP.

neither are blameless, and barton carries the can for a prolonged and sustained attack.

with regards a cigar in the eye and giving a 15 year old a clip, i dont know anything like the full stories around either incident.

pro sportsmen that have taken the piss - grandmothers favourite tim henman smashed a ballgirl with a tennis ball of his racket.
wayne rooney has on two occasions been throwing punches, once in a restaurant in manchester, and another time hitting a teenage boy after an england game.
pennant is a serial drunk driver
paul gascoigne repeatedly battered his wife
scott harrison goes out brawling in nightclubs getting so out of hand he served time whilst world champion in a spanish prison

lets just villify barton? well he did bare his arse at the park end, but didnt we have a player that cocked the V's at the kop?

moyes was in, in january, and could possibly go for barton again, moyes instinct for players has seen some good players arrive and seen results change for the better.

I trust Moyes enough that if he wants Barton, I am sure he will control him. Along with the other mentioned leaders amongst the team.

At first I didn't want him, but after watching a few vids and reading up on him, I think, if, after we sign up Fernandes (be it on loan or signed) then Barton is the obvious second priority for midfield reinforcement.

somehow the thread title got lost somewhere along the way.

Simple, yes or no :P

So far the GOT is saying Yes.

I wonder how many of those yes votes are thinking if not fernandes then barton...

the media enjoy demonising certain players, it used to be ferguson, it got so out of hand the officials used to join in.

bobik, scharner, freund, never seen barton throw punches or strangle someone on the field.
