John Stones transfer saga

No, quite honestly was disappointed that Stones handed in the transfer request at such a late stage given our available lineup and at the first approach of another club.

But in the scheme of things it is a fairly understandable, he is just trying to further his career and despite the transfer request he has remained professional throughout - I did far stupider things for less clear advantages and under far less pressure at a similar age ;)

Yes well, lets leave that for PM shall we? ;)

and there is the epitome of a total scumbag footballer .... no gratitude towards his club for paying him a wage .
no loyalty or thought for the supporters who pay for the merchandise or tickets and travel up and down the country .
no bond with his team mates.
a completely self absorbed self obsessed nasty selfish vile individual with no morals .........and lets face it , a fourth rate footballer , a major irritant , a total joke and a pretty bad pundit who achieved nothing worth shouting about in the game.

a bucket filled with vomit , used condoms , bloody tampax , dog crap and horse semen is more likable and deserves more respect than Robbie savage.
I think on this occasion you are guilty of sugar coating your true feelings ...

Although Savage comes over for what he is I would suggest it's worth reading his article for the general points

I have heard on many occasions what lengths players go to when they want a move similarly some of the tricks clubs get up to force a player out are pretty horrendous

The mistake on here is that most are trying to relate their own life, their own work place and work practises to those of football and I would suggest that it's neigh on impossible for football is a brutal selfish industry where the individual, save the very rare exception, is only interested in number one.

JS isn't going into a buble. His agent other players will be in his ear and despite supporters applauding or singing his name that will be for what 90 minutes once a week and if, and a big if, the reports are right following the Barnsley game that will be something etched in his memory

Reflect the position.

The player didn't say anything in public and we had no idea what his wishes were(the club almost certainly would have known )till he handed in a transfer request. People are saying he has been badly advised, maybe he has but try to be objective and asses the situation not through toffee tinted glasses but only factor in facts as opposed to opinions such as he will get a wage increase be at a CL club not things like he will be on the bench and then ask yourself do you really think he is going to be 100% happy?

I would suggest that it's neigh on impossible

That weirdo from the Mirror Matt Law is still blowing up at Martinez on Twitter. Apparently Martinez is a hypocrite because he has bought players from lower leagues before.

The point has gone further over these clown's heads than a Coleman cross.

Funny thing is, these tits dont realise that around 95% of their readers probably support Martinez's views, only the glory hunter fans think otherwise.

For the record though if we tried to buy someone from a lower team and acted like they have id be ashamed of the club
