John Stones transfer saga

Always wonder if Nicholas & Merson are buddies with football agents and are purposely promoting certain transfer deals....there's no way in hell they can think its a good deal for Everton to have sold Stones this late in the window for the money that has been offered...

They're just two Arsenal fans worried that we might actually have better players than them.

Cancelled my Sky this week, and it felt gooooooodddddd

Gone with BT who I know are obsessed with the RS, but I HATE Sky

BT is terrible mate, I'm stuck with it still and absolutely hate it. I've bought 2 sky sports channels for a bit of normality though I don't get SSN so can't buzz off all the tits saying we should let Stones go because it's what the world needs right now.

As soon as my BT contract has ended I will be kicking it into touch, awful customer service!

Just get the streams mate and popcorn the bloomin' lot of 'emlol

Chelski need a transfer ban, and agents need running out the game, all transfers should be handled by the F.A.

Why did Stones not hand in a request 4 weeks ago, why did he not make it clear in the press through his agent he wanted to leave, like Wilma did.

I'll tell you why, because despite Stones being open to a move to Chelski, he knew the club where not going to sell him, and he accepted that because he's a good lad with morals and class, and very happy playing and developing here with a great set of lads around him.

Chelski are desperate to get the player, his agent is desperate to get his hands on a nice 3-4m fee, those are the driving forces in this saga, Stones was never desperate to leave, but the press will have you think different.

Can see legal action from Everton coming.

Plus this happening also

Like Thompson said we have made a statement that we have to stick with. The others can't seem to grasp that teams have a right to refuse a sale to a top 4 club... but but Chelsea want him so you should sell. This is a great statement of intent and if WBA hold firm also then we may see more putting there fingers up to the brattish rich clubs. I would also like a buy out clause put into players contracts so clubs have a bigger say. A silly amount for Stones would be something like 60m so that would be ridiculous of us to refuse but if it wasn't met and we didn't want to sell then we have the perfect excuse but we would also be in a position to accept lower if we wanted. Just do what the Spanish and Portuguese do. Clubs need more power over the players.

The players expect to be paid when they're injured or on international duty.

CONTRACTS are a two way street.

Some of these ex Pros are deluding themselves. They say one thing about the disintegration and loss of standards in the game then come out with whopper comments like Robbie Savage.

Idiot.

Not seen Nicholas/ Merson but from posts can imagine the rubbish being spouted, and as for Jason Cundy covered on here many times his 'refuse to play' etc was a disgrace the other night.
I am absolutely with Bobby in his do we only have contracts for when players are injured/ struggling? He was happy to sign for five years, and while we prob expect it to not last tha long realistically we are right to expect more than one year. His last words on the subject were how happy he was before the first Chelsea bid, a couple of weeks before the season started, so his head was obviously turned by various people.

My big issue is with the anybody would take a tripling in wages/ career opportunity, if offered which is the most common defence for his actions in his transfer request and I do understand that.
HOWEVER, a week before the close of the window?? Now we are continually told footballers are more professional than they ever have been, well lets compare to other 'professions'
Does a surgeon walk out on his patients a week before planned operations because he has a better offer from a job in London?
Can a lawyer drop a client halfway through a criminal prosecution because soMe gangster in London has offered more for his services?
Jesus I am only a teacher, and have to give notice by May half term if I want a new job in September. I can't just go t my head now andd say sorry won't be in on Tuesday 1st start of term as I have been offered a better paid job in London- sorry if I have left you in the lurch - never mind eh?
With your pay comes a level of responsibility and moral conduct, yes be tempted but only leave when you know your employer is able to cover you and replace you. That is professionalism.
