John Stones transfer saga

Its a real bid. But he has no intention of leaving. My worry is the board, they'll see £30m and [Poor language removed] themselves when he's worth more than that.

when has this actually happened? didnt cave in with Baines, and got way over the odds for Lescott and Rodwell.

Slag the board off on many things.. but selling players isnt one of them.

It's impressive stuff mate, I for one am grateful for the insight into players thoughts that he is able to provide, a truly magical gift.

Indeed. Where would be be in these troublesome times without someone to provide such clarity on what players and officials are contemplating. Perhaps we could make some money by licencing him out to other forums?

I very much approve of this idea, I'm happy to make it a more permanent deal than a loan though

Don't usually quote Twitter sources but for once, it may be a source for good. The lad came out and said that he is happy to stay here yesterday.

I could be wrong, but I was under the impression that those quotes were from earlier in the season.

I don't think there's much chance he will go now because RM and the board will know even more eyes will be on Stones and if he continues impressing (hopefully starting tomorrow), with his contract not up until 2019, his price will only go up. We got £28m for Fellaini so I have faith that if he does go, we will get £55m-ish at least from a Man City/Man Utd/Chelsea type club. Maybe even Real Madrid could enter the bidding in the future and look at what they paid for Bale.

Every player has a price and Chelsea know that. Thankfully it would take a silly bid I reckon.

As he continues to become acer there will be more of this. The media don't like little ol' Everton having boss players in the England team.

Cash in now and you won't get the fullest value. Keep him and let him develop to the point he takes a starting England spot at the Euro's and you can add the English international bonus on top.

I can't help but think what Terry could teach this lad (not off the pitch). He could be truly special.
