John Stones transfer saga

we will play hard ball all summer and then give in on transfer deadline day, won't have time to sign anyone as a replacement and the money will magically disappear never to be seen again.

you all know this is going to happen.

I want Kenwright hung from the Famous Blue Star completely stark naked if this happens. Never mind stoning the man I'd settle for a carton of gravy all over his chops the bad snide.

UH OH! i see brentford are already spending their part of the transfer fee...

Brentford have signed Denmark international Lasse Vibe from IFK Goteborg for an undisclosed fee.
The forward, 28, has agreed a three-year deal at Griffin Park and becomes the Championship club's eighth signing of the summer.
He made his international debut for Denmark in 2014 and has won a total of nine caps.

all but a done deal im afraid

So close...

Not sure the story has died more that things aren't in the public domain at the moment
That is the bit that concerns me as well. I am hoping that Chelsea have not backed off publicly but privately are negotiating with Everton.
However, that would still leave Everton in a pickle, with only one senior centreback, so they would have to sign two centrebacks before selling John Stones.

In any event , why would Everton agree to a clandestine agreement at this stage.
The club is stable, if not wealthy and if anything the value of the player will increase if he continues to progress.

Benitez on Benzema
He said: “People are asking me about different players that maybe we will buy and I always say the same thing, ‘he’s not our player, I will not talk about that’

Mourinho could learn a thing or 2 from the fat Spanish waiters statement.

I can't stand managers with no class. Special one or not, you're a tool lid.

Nuts that this Hassell story manages to pitch up via the Press Association in a United Arab Emirates newspaper http://www.thenational.ae/sport/foo...l-defending-can-lift-john-stones-says-mentor? yet none of our papers mention it. Even they must be fed up with it now.

Feck.

I didn't realise this "former mentor" bloke had surfaced in a Middle Eastern newspaper.

We really are contributing to this circus ourselves by discussing what a bloke most of us have never heard off is in all likelihood misquoted as saying in a newspaper most of us have never read

Whatever about Jose the FSW is no yardstick to measure him by.......he was calling us a "small club" a decade ago.

Yeah...that's the link Joey66 first mentioned on here today which weve all quoted. Its The National, a UAE paper. They've lifted it off the Press Association wire by the looks of it so they wont have misquoted.
