John Stones transfer saga

Would all the nappy wetters have a day off, he ain't for sale and won't be leaving this year to sit on Chelsea bench.
I don't think he'll go I also don't think he'd be sat on their bench, Cahill couldn't nail down a starting place last season (later part) so there is nothing to suggest stones wouldn't get in ahead of him, the only concern is that in recent history of all the top teams I can't remember Chelsea going after someone, it becoming public knowledge and then them not end up getting said player. All the other clubs i.e Baines to UTD of all the top clubs Chelsea seem to always get the deal done, they even buy player to stop other teams getting then like Willian, Salah and so on. If all teams going for him I wish it wasn't this lot.

Pretty impressive words from Stones the other day about fighting for his place.

He wouldnt play ahead of Terry, Cahill or Zouma, not saying he isnt good enough, just cant see it.

Maybe Chelsea will buy him and let us loan him.

Wouldn't surprise me if he sells Cahill. Was told ages ago that Jose wanted Stones and Zouma as his future Centrebacks.

I think Stones will want to be managed by Jose, and who could blame him. He wants to be the best.

Be stupid to sell now, euros coming up, new tv deal which will add an even bigger premium onto players. Bad shithouse move by the board if they allow this.

Everton have told Chelsea to forget about trying to sign John Stones.

The ECHO understands that the Blues defender is NOT for sale despite the Premier League champions tabling a £20m bid today.

Stones, 21, insisted only last night that he is “very happy” at Goodison Park and put pen-to-paper on a new five-year deal last summer.

The cultured centre-half, who joined the club in January 2013 for £3m, has established himself as one of the most exciting prospects in English football and has won four caps for the Three Lions.

Stones played for the under-21s in the European Championships this summer but is being groomed as a future captain of the England senior side.

The Barnsley-born defender is tied to the club until the summer of 2019 and Everton are not willing to listen to offers for Stones.

Blues boss Roberto Martinez is planning for a long-term future at Everton with Stones central to his plans.

And Stones says he is happy to be at Goodison, adding: “I am very happy at Everton.

“My aim right now is to try and and nail down a regular spot in this Everton team and hopefully that will take care of playing for England.

“I have to keep learning of the likes of Phil Jagielka and keep progressing at this club.”

Stones is expected to start the new season as first-choice alongside Jagielka in the heart of the Everton defence.
