Evans & Juan Mata......lets start talking.Stop trying to sell us washed up United players please.
20m + Di Maria and we can open negotiations.
Man Utd themselves have priced the two at 8m and 17m ie total only 25m even at your own inflated valuations?Johnny Evans + Hernandez.
£20M + Those two values Stones at £45m.Man Utd themselves have priced the two at 8m and 17m ie total only 25m even at your own inflated valuations?
No thanks.
Think Evans is too injury prone for a 3rd choice Cb let alone a first choice which is what he'd expect if he was part of a deal for Stones. If we had to sell Stones, and personally think it too late this window to do so, would prefer cash.£20M + Those two values Stones at £45m.
Would you guys take 20m + Johnny Evans/Hernandez.
Exclusive: Everton's John Stones wanted Chelsea move to happen months ago
CHELSEA target John Stones told Everton at the end of the season that he was ready to move to a big club.
Sunday Express Sport can reveal that the England player, aware of growing interest from Premier League sides in the top four, informed manager Roberto Martinez that he wanted to further his career elsewhere if the opportunity arose.
But Everton are insisting on a huge fee for the 21-year-old believed to be £36 million – a figure which has put the brakes on Chelsea’s overtures.
Chelsea’s opening bid was £20 million and it’s understood they are prepared to go up to around £30 million with various add ons.
Everton are holding out for £36 million because the defender’s former club Barnsley are due 15 per cent of any fee which could mean the League One club banking more than £5 million for a player they sold for just £3 million.
It’s why the Goodison Park board have upped the price so that they can clear £30 million.
They were hoping that Manchester City would also prompt a bidding war with Chelsea but although there has been a firm enquiry from the Eithad there has so far been no firm offer.
Stones, though holds the key to one of the summer transfer window’s biggest deals because he now wants to join Jose Mourinho’s Premier League champions believing his game would improve at Stamford Bridge in addition to enjoying a hefty increase in his pay packet.
Everton know that to block a transfer to one of England’s major forces would leave them with an unhappy player.
Stones feels that being part of the Chelsea unit would also enhance his chances of becoming an England regular as the Three Lions close in on the European Championship finals in France next summer.
The express have unsuccessfully reported the end of the world on a few occasions ...Desperate stuff altogether. Are there no depths that Mourinho will stoop to in order to get him ? Probably not.
