Ive just read that article and I love the "one of England's major forces" like we should be crapping our pants lol

Can't help but feel the disclosure of Chelsea's £20 million bid was their attempt to flush out any other interest

If and a big if Stones is saying the right things in public but in private has already said that he wants to move to a CL club which is now being reported and if an offer comes in then unless there is more than one buyer in the market and the player has laid his cards on the table then there are two options one to try and keep the player or two try to get the price up

So who else will put in a bid . I can't see Arsenal being involved nor do I see any club outside England so that's down to three
 
If Stones was to go I reckon it would of been done by now starting to feel confident about us keeping hold off him. Currently 5/4 with sky bet for him to still be at us come the end of the window. I'll be backing that for sure.

Why would it be in Chelsea's interest to "flush out" other parties?

The leak came from their camp through their media friendly journalists not Everton's, it's been a very one sided public campaign to bully us and we've done nothing to encourage it.

yes, but im right. he's a kind of a fannie who loves to be the king. thats why he howers from italy to france and back again. his minset aint suiting for prem footy and thats a fact. for me he's like a boss indie movie actor who doesnt want to go to hollywood cause his acting skills would destroy his indie status. and cause he couldnt use so much drugs anymore.

Listening to Mourinho press conference after the PSG game he said "the other top sides are trying to buy the title and we have to do our best to combat there without large investment"

Sounds like they couldn't afford him

Er.. He's always battered English teams in the CL and when Sweden played England last..
