Not only is he a great talent with massive potential but the marketing aspect is huge too.

English, a well-spoken lad with None of the tabloid rubbish and sexy as hell to boot. Could be the face of a club and bring in such a diverse fan base.

In the US do talented basketball/american football players push for transfers to other clubs ?

No,theyre on such good money mate they see out their full contract unless it is mutually terminated for like personal reasons. also because they come from college sports, theyre initially just happy to turn pro and be on 20 mil a year.

Sorry mate, but you are seeing conspiracies where there are none.
Rooney and Lescott both wanted out, to argue they were pushed out is mind boggling.
No, i'm seeing the truth, they asked Jeffers to leave too because they said they needed the money, this is fact, same with rooney.

They asked fellaini to put in the request so they didn't have to pay his loyalty.

We're just going to disagree but i know im right.

In American sports. Once a player is under contract, he stays at the club unless he's either traded or his contract runs out. You can't "bid" for players under contract in American sports.

If he does go to Chelsea, McGeady has to be a compulsory add-on, just that we have something to smile about!
I appreciate the humour but sadly the redolence of Everton reality is nuanced in your post. We will keep McGeady and lose Stones. That is the Everton reality. Hell, I watched City make our team look like a pub league contender last weekend...and now we are selling players that might allow us to escape that league???...and keeping the likes of McGeady??? Breaks my heart, it really does.

so basically they have a system which works, whereas ours is completely and utterly broken in favour or 4 teams

We should have built a team around him but our lack of ambition and spending has sent a clear message to Stones and he has decided that he doesn't want to stick around.

Sadly the same is likely to happen in time with Lukaku and Barkley. That's Everton under Kenwright.

Yes we could insist on him staying and I suspect that his value will be roughly the same in 12 months but aren't we cutting our nose off to spite our face in doing so.

IMO there is little long term benefit in keeping an unhappy player.

Get the deal done asap for the best price and get replacements in , otherwise this season could be disastrous.
