great one of Kev holding Bryans hand off the field (nicked off another site) Mirallas really does get everton, you can see that in the derby games and the passion when he scored/****ted bucktooth last time

boss pic that mate. Tuesday will be known as the Mirallas derby, we will be talking about it for years after he gives that lot across the park a game they will have nightmares about. I can feel it in the pit of my stomach he will have a Paul Merson special aka a worldy.

I know it's early days, but it's certainly a good thing to see a young, confident, ball playing centre-half in English football for once.

I really hope I'm proved wrong here, and admittedly my eyesight isn't too clever, but he just seems a yard too slow for my liking. I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope he just has a languid running style and is actually deceptively fast.

To be honest I think a few people on here and going a bit over the top, I agree with you personally.

He seems to run like the Terminator T100 and gets caught under the ball alot, and his headed clearances aren't the best. Although you can overlook the defensive frailty's because of his age you cannot overlook the fact he's slow.

Not at all surprised by that picture. Mirallas stated in an interview before that Oviedo (and the now departed Fellaini) were his closest mates at the club. I know Kev has a soft spot for Oviedo baby.

Let me add to this considering he has just been our worst player in that derby along with Pienaar.

Stones should never have been playing RB with Hibbert on the bench, i'm sorry but that was a terrible mistake by Martinez and although alot of us take the piss out of Hibbert, in my opinion he is a solid defender with bags of experience.

John stones was at fault for the second goal we conceded and he was also partially at fault for the forth after losing the ball for the counter which he done several times.

If he plays right back tues, you'll see the lad isn't slow at all
Course not lad he's lightning fast, top RB.

hibbert is dreadful, can totally understand why martinez went with stones, didnt have a great game, but using a fantastic hindsight argument is absolute nonsense, lol at the little hibbert fan club

He got caught too high up at times, but it didnt help that we were giving the ball away in stupid places.
Its obvious hes a CB and not a RB though.

Its not really hindsight considering I did quote what I said post derby.

you didnt mention hibbert, who is not quick at all
No but Hibbert would not have crossed the halfway line in the first place and got caught in silly positions when we are dispossessed. Hibbert is our version of John Flanagen.

Hopefully young Stones will have learned a lot about football defending today. He was up against world class strikers...and got spanked.

so we would have had no attacking threat at all sound, lets re hire moyes while were at it and play, hibberts utter gash

No but when our options are so poor in that position then the very least you can do is make sure you are not vulnerable in that area by taking silly gambles on unproven players in that position.
