Wish nothing but the best for the lad. He shows a lot of promise and he seems the sort of lad who would deserve it, but he has only played a bit for Everton.Oi oi bruv. What you got against our Stonesy?
At CB, he's been brilliant for us and if i was the England manager i'd be taking all the good youngsters, Stones, Barkley, Lallana, Shaw etc for the experience and show em that this is what they've to aspire to.
Most of them ive mentioned are good enough in my eyes anyway, cant do any worse than the tried and trusted IMO!
i dont think adidas/nike or whoever sponsers the tried and tested would be too pleased if they werent playing.
I wouldnt give a fcuk about them. There's only Gerrard for me who's still good enough to make us a decent national side, the likes of Lampard & Cole etc arent.
I wouldnt go all youth, i'd have some experience in there but i would take alot of the younger lads, the likes of Stones, Shaw, Barkley, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Lallana & Rodriguez definitely!
For me Lallana would be a cert to start, fcuk it maybe even Barkley & Oxlade-Chamberlain, those 3 in behind Rooney, or drop Rooney deep to bring Sturridge in, or leave Rooney up front and put Sturridge wide right at the expense of either Barkley or Oxlade-Chamberlain?!
i agree- i dont expect 99% of the country cares about sponsorship, but the world cup is a product and money talks. the most obvious example of which is ronaldo when he was forced to play in the world cup final by Nike even though he was injured
hmmm, get your point, but we havent got that kind of player at that level have we, where the whole world wants to see him play, unfortunately!
Sturridge
Rodriguez Rooney Lallana
Gerrard Barkley
