Who is better as 4th choice CB? Jags and Cahill will go and probably Jones. Smalling has looked gash, Dawson is too slow, Lescott never plays. I'd take him.
Got anymore like him? He's the best defensive prospect in the country by a mile, so much so that Arsenal want him!!
The last thing we need is him knocking around Brazil with that lot and their chav agents. I will be delighted for him to have the summer off with feety up watching the world cup and ready and raring to go for a big year of champions league and premier league football.
He is still a young lad and it would be very unfair to put a weight of expectation on him - how many english kids have we seen built in the press only to then be pilloried when they have an inevitable bad spell?
However it is really hard not to rave about him, he is playing with such skill and style it is a joy to watch. Not sure if you have seen this video of his game vs Fulham, sums up his versatility in both getting forward and in defending.

He is the best young CB in England from my point of view, there isn't 1 other U21 CB in England who i would want over him at this moment in time and tbh there isn't many in world football.
Varane, Marquinhos, Zouma all around the same age as Stones and have had big money transfers, other than Varane (well at least last season) i wouldn't take any of them over Stones in current form.
For me personally you could tell almost instantly from the Juventus game in pre season that we had a player on our hands capable of taking on the elite level of footballers and hes just constantly progressing. I also love the fact that i don't really remember him making a defensive mistake yet, the mistakes he has made is from trying to play too much which for a young player is expected anyway or from misjudgements due to a lack of experience e.g. letting the ball bounce before heading (which he still recovered from)
