John Stones

Yes. He's erratic. Funes Mori has outperformed him as a defender for weeks. If Jagielka is as good as everyone says then he has to partner him.

As said, if Coleman was fit the manager has a big decision to make.

That sir is complete nonsense

They have both played well, but Jags is nearing the end of his career, as brilliant as he is!

Then Man City. Whether you go by what the referee should have called or what the referee did call, either way he made a mistake in the last minutes of a match that should have turned a draw into a loss.

3 Stoke goals in that game can heavily linked to Stones...

With and without stats I think Funes Mori has been better defensively since coming into the team. His only real mistake was the penalty he gave away, but Stones has given away one too and should have given away another on Wednesday. Additionally Funes Mori has been one of our best players aerially whereas Stones has been suspect.

Stones is ace and will be twice the player Funes Mori is, but that doesn't mean that he's infallible nor does it mean Funes Mori hasn't been really good so far.

I'd agree that Mori has looked good. I think him and Besic add an extra dimension to the side; being winners and having aggressive qualities.

I don't know if I find I'm tempted to agree with the notion of dropping Stones because he wants to go / is going. Tough call.

Saying Jags and Mori did better than Stones and Mori based on the Man City performance isn't right. How many times did Besic play with Mori and Stones this season. Besic bailed out our two center pairings in the city match on numerous occasions. My opinion is with Besic and McCarthy on the pitch at the same time will improve our defense, allow Stones to grow into the player we all know he will become.
