Playing devil's advocate a little, but Stones never seemed like he bought into Everton in any way at all. It always felt like a job for him. Rooney, as much as I never want him back, has always maintained his love for Everton as a fan, which counts for something.

The two don't correlate in any way. Other than we sold them both for big money.

Some very bitter people in here. He'll be great for them and he'll win trophies, challenge for league titles and play in Europe every year now. I don't see how he could turn it down.

Said it many times before, I don't get all the angst that Stones gets on here. He behaved well after the Chelsea tapping up last season and got his head down. Didnt play great for a period but you can't hold that against him, Martinez gave him no direction just praise.

Would have been nice to keep him as Koeman would have improved him more if not as much as Guardiola will.

Hope he does well at City and probably in Spain where he is a model to end up.

Agreed, good luck to the lad, unless he ever does an interview and calls the GSE bellends I will wish him well, hopefully he utterly destroys The Park End mutants tho.
