Oh, so when he messes up, it's cos he's young? Not having that.

No

Players mess up for lots of reasons. I couldn't say what the particular reason is in every instance that a player "messes up"

What I am saying is that it is natural that young players often make more mistakes. This has always been accepted in football and patience is usually needed when they do mess up.

However, if ignoring this golden rule of football in the interest of putting the boot into a player you don't like, then ok. Carry on.

One way or the other I think we will have to wait a bit to see how it all turns out.
Thing is, by going to a club like City, flooded with top players, it's very difficult to chart whether he improves and fixes his flaws. People may claim 'look, told you he would fulfill his potential' whilst overlooking quite how much easier he now has it.

It 'should' be obvious enough over say 3 seasons, if it isn't by then it's a no... and we done 'em good style.

I’m confused, does wanting him to fail, make us small time? Or does wanting him to win the lot at another club and captain England in fact make us small time?

Also think the RS will target him when they play City, be interested to see if he has the “Stones” to deal with that.

Covering your arse there. He's quality and anyone who can't see it should probably stop watching football.
