John Stones

Totally different situation... Davis has had 3 starts ? in the prem... Stones has a 50 million price tag hanging around his neck playing at a club that expect to winning things.. his every touch is scrutinised by thousands of so called experts... the pressure to perform must be immense. The hype we as fans place on these players is stupid. Stones is quality, if you can't see that I feel sorry for you.

He had neither the price tag nor the expectations nor the pressure last season yet he looked the exact same error prone player he did today.

And if you can't see that then I am even more "sorry" for you than you are for me :p

He is a 22 year old kid stepping up to a team with the calibre of player like Aguero and silva and toure... will take while to become a leader in that group, some players never will be leaders if it's not in them. I'm gonna bet when Kompany returns you will see a different John Stones.

lol

he's defo going to do a rodwell and fade away.

he makes far too many stupid 'mistakes'

if you have true class as a player then mistakes are minimal, even at a young age.

he has 3 seasons under his belt and is still looking shaky, being coached by the worlds best manager hasnt seemed to help him much.

i never really understood why he got all the praise he did when with us and like the sterling deal, to get £50 odd million was crazy money.

He got found out a bit but he's still a talent and probably a better fit with kompany and a proper manager. Problem is he moved to "big club" and usually don't have the patience that say we did with say Coleman's and hopefully what just are Barkley's growing pains. That being said City has stuck with Sterling and I think he's been one of their best players this year.

Davies is our new "50M man" but his game is going to be broken down by rival managers in the offseason and he's going to come back to earth a bit. How he copes with it will determine how good he's going to be.

Agreed. You either have it or you don't.

Don't particularly dislike him or blame him at all for moving but I'm made up he got booed.

Fella's ft the mentality of a 10 year old, bit of stick and he crumbles. More of the same next year please, Goodison.
