John Stones

Misses Jagileka to shepherd him around the pitch and support his game. He's bound to make mistakes and when Phil returns he'll improve again.
But he shouldnt need to rely on having a certain partner, and tbh he has had poor spells when jags has been with him

Maybe so in the long term, but sometimes I think we take for granted that he's only 21. He's relatively inexperienced and is still learning.

Jagielka helps manage his game and we get much more from John when he's there. Mori is inexperienced himself so doesn't offer that.

If we're still talking about him needing someone to shepherd him in a season or two then I'd be concerned; right now it's almost expected.

When Jagileka is back and fit then I'd even consider resting Stones for a game or two.

John Stones as an individual player is incredible, but right now all of our defenders look totally lost. Completely crap. All any team has to do is literally walk past Barry, then pass it inbetween our cb's and they're laughing, it's a big chance every time.

Definitely could do with dropping and that's not me being harsh, he's still a young kid whose being picked game after game after game. Doesn't do them any harm to have a couple of games watching from the sidelines but unfortunately we haven't had anyone who can come in to give him a breather.

Where's he going for the first goal ffs. Just shout "right shoulder" to McCarthy and let him deal with it. Why's he chasing Bojan in to midfield?

I say this alot, he goes chasing players in the midfield all the time, its like watching poor kids football.
