John Textor

Much like Everton, Jay-Z hasnt been good since the 90s

Poetic
As of 2024, he is the wealthiest musical artist in the world with a net worth of US$2.5 billion. One of the world's best-selling music artists with 140 million records sold, Jay-Z has won 24 Grammy Awards, the tenth-most of all time and most awarded for any hip hop artist jointly with Kanye West.

Hes doing ok for himself.

The club is for sale of course. But the imperative to sell isn’t quite as urgent as it was. We’re pretty much there for funding to complete BM (I read £20m needed the other day).
So that means that we have the R&M loans to pay interest on. You’d like to think that we’ve got the money for that. The crunch could then come with the repayment date for TFG loan. What’s that? June next year? Whatever, it’s bought Moshiri time, and time lets him consider his options.
I believe he 100% wants out, however, the closer we get to BMD being completed then the less of a 'distressed asset' we become. Assuming we manage to retain our Premier League status this season then we are a much more attractive prospect and Moshiri should be able to command a bigger price for his shares.

Obviously the debt is still there but with turnover expected to increase by circa £70m off the back of the new stadium then we should be able to re-finance this and put ourselves in a much healthier position.

The big risk of course is being able to retain our Premier League status in the mean time with limited investment in the playing squad.

Moshiri will still be the owner when we move to the bowl .
Neither Textor nor any other ‘ interested parties’ will succeed in purchasing our club because it has never been genuinely for sale.
Moshiri needs investment to make up the shortfall caused by the sanctions . That is what he has been securing throughout these ‘sale’ negotiations.
Textor is a problem for him.
Textor genuinely wants to buy the club and potentially has the ability to do so .
At some point in the near future the shutters will come down for Textor and the reasons given will be dubious and entirely fictitious.
This club ain’t for sale .
This is what I’m fearing. I honestly see it all falling through, made up nonsense about the reasons why it does and it being a case of “He said, She said” while we continue circling the drain.

Would have been much happier with the RZA or the GZA, can’t have everything. In fact we should petition the whole Wu-Tang clan to get on board. Was never a fan of Jay-Z think the Wu-Tang have better tactical nous, our new Liquid Sword formation will defeat all our enemies.
