Aaaand we are back were we started .
Moshiri in charge.
No more white knights on the horizon.
Meanwhile the clubs trajectory remains obstinately downward.

Moshiri does know how to pick them doesn't he, a part of me thinks that he no intention of selling this club since every person that has been in a position to take over this club either can't afford to or pulls out of doing so, it's no wonder that I have come to the conclusion that we might be stuck with him for the foreseeable future as painful as that will be
To be fair I think TFG were serious about it. Moshiri was just asking for his price and trying to dump the debt on whoever purchased the club. It will be a problem for any owner if he asks for yet another loan and that is what I am worried about. The price may end up being astronomical by the time this is over.

I still think if they were that serious, they would take the risk regardless of how much Moshiri was asking for and let's not forget that Kenwright did the same to him when he came on board and wiped out the previous debt which he put on the club

You can’t take any Everton bidders seriously at this point. Mainly because of Moshiri, but when clowns like John and 777 are the ones inquiring about your club, you may as well tune it out. Too much debt is leveraged against whatever owner will take over. This is a nightmare scenario and now I am even less confident that an owner will take over this year. We just have to survive until then I suppose
Do you think that the TFG returning to the table has any legs, or are they probably just covering their bases 'in case' Textor has found Alexander's sword to cut thru the Gordian Knot that is the Leadenhall Lawsuit.

I'm hoping that Friedkin and Co are just positioning themselves to try and lowball the 777600 debt, and the A-Cap Kenneth King's attempt to hang onto his assets as best he can?

I genuinely see TFG being a positive and very professional way forward for the club; tho I despise the MCM especially with them having AS Roma as their current flagship.

Has any other 'bidder' come forward yet?

Would be boss watching you and Myers trying to outdo each other for dramatic effect Damo.

Alan Myers was tweeting/reporting weekly on behalf of 777 Partners (accused of fraud by Leadenhall) and/or Moshiri's PR people

He portrays himself as a huge "Evertonian"

What Evertonian would be advocating and messaging on behalf of a party accused of fraud?

Because he couldn't be bothered doing some basic background checking

Alan Myers has got no credibility with me now.

Absolutely none

How come you’ve never mentioned it before?

….excuse my ignorance, I’m genuinely a bit naive on this, but why would Moshiri leak such stuff re Textor?

If he wants to sell, why leak positively of one investor over another?
Because it’s 2024 and absolutely every story printed has to be a conspiracy theory these days. No one is allowed to do things for their own reasons anymore.

@Neiler was spot on in his answer:

Could be for a number of and/or connected reasons mate.

1) Would be in his interests if in negotiation's with TFG - it creates a sense of urgency, competing interest and leverages him in that situation if he is negoating.

2) Flushes out other interested parties - to make a bid. Remember the first time Textor said he was interested in the summer - we had about 3 bids a few weeks later.

3) May force things on the Palace end, whether that's existing shareholders making an offer for shares or flushing out interested parties on that end.

4) Could be to create a good atmosphere here that things are progressing and things are going on behind the scenes given the unrest in the fanbase.

5) It helps to publicise the Eagle group IPO.

6) It could be genuine and Moshriri is calling last orders on bidders.

It’s because anyone with brains and business acumen wouldn’t go anywhere near Everton, which is why one of these end up here anyway.

Has he ever been credible though, he just gets used by everyone.
It’s only the silence from the club that makes people pay him so much attention. It’s why our fans also seem to love clickbait news, because we never actually get anything official.
