2018/19 Jonjoe Kenny

JJ Kenny is a young inexperienced full back playing in a team that is struggling for confidence.... and still plays well.

I cannot understand those who dismiss him already as not being good enough. He will learn and improve with experience and coaching , it will probably be another four years before we know how good he really will be but the experience that he is getting at present is money in the bank for him as it is for Lookman,DCL and Davies.

Or how about he’s just a decent player who will have a steady but unspectacular career in the Premier League? Mad how the scale of a player’s ability is literally:

Top class

CHAMPIONSHIP

LEAGUE ONE

It's mental isn't it, also the fans have gone from absolutely buzzing and supportive to local youngsters getting a game, to actually hating on them for realising their dreams. Twitter age fans are awful, or at least their online personas are, everyone's a real angry sod online.

Did you not know every player in the premier is world class? Silly man

No mate. It's where I believe he'll end up. Is there some sort of issue with that? Or do we have to say Premier League because he's from Liverpool? I don't get what on earth you're trying to say. Lookman - I can see him ending up as an average Premier League player if he's lucky. Kenny, no. So - problem with that? If so, why?

He did well last night.

I actually don't think Coleman has been as awful as suggested in recent weeks. He's been far better since Bournemouth than he had been over Xmas, for example.

But Kenny has played well when called on and I have no issues with him starting.

We need fight and grit in the team now.

v Watford it needs to be the same system but with more quality in the final third.

I'd say Richarlison for Walcott, and either Bernard/Lookman on the other side.

Gylfi on the bench to bring on. But what's key is when he is brought on, he doesn't play as a 10, but instead we keep the same three-man midfield.

It your view, you are entitled to it, but it does seem to show a lack of understanding on how development works. Anyone who writes these lads off by their 21st birthday all show a lack of footballing understanding and how the body and mind develop at different stages for different players.

That's my opinion, it's what I believe about 'fans' who think players should be the finished article before they pull on the RBJ.

I get the flack that the Walcotts of this world get but some of the stuff posted about our young lads is way off the mark and a lot is unnecessary.

agree with this, the extra man in midfield means one of them can actually push on and support the forwards. when we play the 4-2-3-1 crap the two midfielders always end up deep almost as centre halves and i don't think it works

There we go. Same as your opinion too, by the way, Sir. People rate some players while others don't rate 'um. Doesn't make you a better/worse fan, or even a bit of a nob or anything of the like. He may improve. I hope he does and would love him to be the next Coleman, but I don't see it. Would love to be proven wrong.
