We have 3 options here. Keep Coleman and Kenny use that £12 million elsewhere the only problem with this is Coleman is almost finished and Kenny is unproven at this point and we might end up needing 2 RB the summer after. We could sell Coleman but Sidibe bring Kenny back as back up competition. Sidibe gas done enough to convince me he is good enough however we won't get as much for Coleman so that is some of our budget spent. Last option is sell Kenny and his stock is high at the minute and have Coleman and Sidibe. We might actually make money on this one due to Kenny's age and insert a buy back clause. The problem here is Coleman is still going to need replaced soonish and this summer might be our last chance of getting anything for him.

All of the observations on Kenny are based on next to nothing. We have to actually see him in preseason before we can determine what caliber he is or if he’s even an upgrade on anything we have. Nothing about his stats in Germany impress me. He is definitely not an upgrade on Sid no matter how much you wish it to be so.

Works both ways really, nobody knows how he would be if he came back and played every week for us.

Ignore stats, they are worthless.

Thankfully we have a manager who will ensure we have the best possible right back in the team come the start of next season so we can all relax a bit.

Stats in this case are not worthless as people are bigging him up without having seen him thus far. Like I said, we need to see him back here before we make any judgements. When he left, he was okay in a pinch but not quite good enough.

How can you (as in the collective you, not you personally) compare a player playing in a completely different league with totally different players against different teams and weigh them up in the premier league? Stats are massively flawed as there are way too many variables for them to carry any weight.

As you say the only way to know is to see it for ourselves.

When our boy Jon was here he showed that he at least knew how to play footy (which is the bare minimum for full backs) and he was okay on the defensive side in some matchups. I just never saw him create any separation the way Digne and Sid can and they aren’t necessarily rapid either, but they are quick enough. He has to prove to me that his movement has improved to the point that he can mask his shortcomings. He’s not the greatest athlete.

I watched him for England yoot once and he was boss, like a young Cafu, but hes never caught the eye for the first team, not once.

Maybe the year in Germany will have kicked him on, I doubt it, but we shall see.
