I watched him for England yoot once and he was boss, like a young Cafu, but hes never caught the eye for the first team, not once.

Maybe the year in Germany will have kicked him on, I doubt it, but we shall see.

It’s one of those situations where good players don’t always make it in the PL (I think Kenny is a good player btw). Footy is such a tactical game nowadays and you either have to have pace as a full back or insane craftiness. I’d love Kenny to make it because he has good technique on the ball but that isn’t always enough.

It really doesn't though. Its a completely different scenario, Davy Klaassen looked good enough to play for us (probably still does whilst playing for Bremen actually.)

Even closer to home, Holgate at West Brom did OK but did not blow anyone away either, all of a sudden he is one of our best players. You just never know what will happen.

Steady on Phil, I’ve seen plenty of him to know he isn’t good enough, unless some miracle has occurred in Germany to transform him into top defender. Maybe it has, I don't watch the Bundesliga personally. I’ve said it before on here, he’s Hibbo mk2 imo.

When he was here he filled the homegrown criteria and was at very least an average right back.

If hes improved then its clear he should be in the squad in place of a (now) below average right back (coleman)...

I think the 2nd right back spot is between Coleman and Kenny and there is no way Coleman should be in the premier league for another season.
