With the pre-season approaching so quickly, this makes sense. Gives the coaching staff an opportunity to make their own evaluation. No reason to sell/loan him until there is another RB signed. And if he impresses, so be it. Wouldn't be the best scenario but there is plenty of time in the window.

Maybe see if he wants to join his boy Dowell at Norwich, he can be part of a deal for Aarons.
