Celtic have just sold Frimpong for a reported 11.5m (probably a lot of add ons tbf) less than 2 years after paying city £350k for him. So theyre potentially 10m+ up and we let them have a replacement on loan rather than push for a perm transfer and fee.
The lad has no future at the club and will have 12 months on his contract come summer, his value will fall further and he'll end up dancing away for zero after spending next season on loan as well.
Rubbish from us.

We should really be extending his deal if he’s being loaned out.

Unreal that we haven’t managed to sell him permanently for the touted £8m.

Lennon and Lawwell are both gone in the summer so whoever the new manager is we have to hope he likes JohnJoe and will push the new CEO to spend money on him.
Dont understand it from our point of view at all.

We all know Jonjoe, Cenk and whoever else is on loan and whose contract isn't up in the summer will be back at Finch Farm in the summer. No chance they find permanent homes before the end of their contracts with us. File them under Niasse, Bolasie, Besic, et al. Iwobi and Pickford will prove to be the most expensive mistakes of them all, however.

Pickford will prove to be the most expensive mistakes of them all, however.

Pickford in particular. He cost a similar amount as Iwobi (around 30 million). However the club went absolutely mental and handed Pickford a 100k a week new contract in 2018 just because he saved a couple of penalties in the last World Cup.

Im sick of this attitude. Nobody was interested in him. No bid had been made. But hey, let’s increase your salary by 60k a week just because you did okay playing for England.

The same happened with James McCarthy, Kevin Mirallas and Luke Garbutt. Nobody was interested in them. Not a single bid had been made, yet everyone was wetting themselves about non-existent Spurs bids, so we decided to put them all on bumper five year long contracts!

It seems like you can get a new contract or a wage increase just for being a ‘nice boy’ at Everton. It would be no surprise if Coleman gets offered a new and improved contract in the summer, keeping him at Everton until he is 38.

Unfortunately, it is true that Pickford will be the most almighty expensive mistake of them all! Not just because he keeps throwing the ball into his own net, but because there is absolutely no other club in the whole of world football that will be willing to match his 100k a week wages. So we are going to be stuck with him until his contract eventually ends in three and a half years time, when he will then likely leave on a free.
