The right decision by him. That performance against Burnley in our relegation battle was unforgivable.

I thought he was worse at home against Wolves tbh.

That chance where we had a great opportunity to counter about 4 against 1 and he just absolutely volleyed it into space instead of just taking 1 split second to not panic.

The 2 yellows 10 minutes later was just the icing on the cake.

Best of luck JJK, gotta want a blue to do well, even though he was never good enough for us - I hope he has a good long career wherever and whoever he plays for.

I'm glad he made the sensible choice and opted to ply his trade at a club that hes better equipped to play to for regularly. He lacked the abilities to be competitive at the demanding levels of the premier league but he seemed to exhibit a professional demeanor and even though the skills weren't present he always exerted himself so I wish him the best in his career.

The right decision. You've got to feel a bit for him. Unwanted by his boyhood club with fellow blues kicking off about the rumours he'd been offered an extension.

Hope he gets a decent club and does something with his career.

I saw something this week saying we had the 6th most minutes played by youngsters in the premier league last season. (I'm sure they described it better than what I did there).

Most of those will have been Gordon of course. We are probably no better or worse than any other top flight club at doing it though.

Gordon and branthwaite. And branthwaite never came through the ranks so its only 1 in reality.
I think its a road to go down. Chelsea have(had) all the money in the world but they put so much into that academy. You can reel off 7 or 8 players who either play or are a part of the first team set up.
I'd love to see that here. Might take years but have to start somewhere so with unsworth gone no time better than now.

I'm glad he's turned down a new contract - not because I want shot of him (which I do, even though he's a True Blue), but because I like to see a footballer wanting to play regularly. If I was as good as JonJoe, and trained as hard as him all week, I'd want to be playing every Saturday (or Sunday), whatever division it was.

Good luck to him.
