Jonjoe Kenny

Coleman played well for an hour but he was spent the last half an hour City targeted him as Southampton did last week. Kenny has been solid this season. Particularly under Frank. I’ve always thought he been unfairly criticised when he has played in teams with a crisis. I’d love to see him play in a good confident team.

JONJOE KENNY (6.2)

Admittedly joint-worst in terms of rating among Everton players (6.2), Kenny ranks in second here as he personally did not make any individual errors.

However, the 24-year-old was guilty of losing four duels, while he also made no dribbles, interceptions, key passes, crosses or accurate long balls in the match. Kenny was also dribbled past twice and gave the ball away nine times.

Copy & Paste

They put Keane as the worse and Holgate 3rd worse

MICHAEL KEANE (6.2)

Keane was also given a 6.2 rating, but he ranks as the Blues’ worst performer given his individual mistake which led to Foden’s goal.
Aside from that error, the former Burnley defender made no tackles and lost the ball nine times on what was a night to forget for him personally.

MASON HOLGATE (6.4)

With a 6.4 overall rating given, Holgate ranked as the Toffees’ third-worst player.
The defender could not stop the cross coming in from City’s flank for the goal, and in general he struggled at times, albeit against world-class opposition.

He lost out on three of his duels in total and also failed to block any shots, while he was dribbled past twice and ended up losing possession 12 times.

Wouldn’t be surprised if a contract is announced soon. He loves the club and the new manager clearly likes him, he is playing well and provides cover in two positions, which we’d need to replace if he left. No brainer to give him another year or two.

Regardless of what went on previous, no one can doubt that he's put in a couple of decent performances for Lampard and I too wouldn't be shocked to see him earn another deal.

Hopefully not. Can't start giving players a contract because they've had a few decent games, completely ignoring their previous few years at the club and beyond.

He's done alright recently but we really need better players than him if we're to progress. He'll be 25 in March, he's no longer a youngster. Will have a good career in the Championship.

Lacks the pace to ever be anything more than a decent full back, but he’s been solid in the two home games, and tries.

We need players who try and care a lot at the moment, continue your form and if so, then no harm in offering him a 1+1 at the end of the season.

I think the work he's been doing outside of training is paying dividends. Hope he can continue to have those extra sessions for his crossing, passing with his weak foot and control. The lad has his future in his hands right now and seems to be doing the right things
