Jonjoe Kenny

He’s been treated poorly by the club, He has always Played when the club are on their arse. He was no where near the worst player today. He had coleman in front of him for an hour. His biggest problem is he cares/
He come across as an honest lad. However he is a championship football at best who isnt good enough to be in a premiership squad not to mind starting for a team. Evertons levels of quality have dropped drastically over the last 4 years while other so called mid table teams have strengthened.

I still think Kenny is one of a group of younger players we have who would do better with a more consistent strategy, better coaching tactics and some leaders or better players around him. I think players we've had in the last 5 years are in one of two categories 1) decent PL standard but unlucky to be at the club during this really unsettled period under Moshiri/Walsh/Brands + 5 managers or 2) overrated not good enough

It also shows us that we have recruited the same types of players - not even leaders or players who can play well individually even if the rest of the team are struggling.
A settled CB pairing who were actually good, and a consistent player ahead of him on the flank and in CM and he would look better. Still think if we were planning recruitment today, I would rather settle on Kenny / Patterson and strengthen CBs, CMs and attackers as a priority (the 'spine') and then go back to improving our full backs / wing backs.

He isn't good enough for Everton but you can't blame the lad he's not going to turn around and say to manager that he shouldn't pick him.
Our problems are not about Kenny, Holgate, DCL, Gordon, Rondon, Coleman or Townsend. All these players combined cost next to nothing.
We are in this position because of the money spent on Iwobi, Bolasie, Tyson,Sigurdson,Pickford, Keane,Allan, Doucoure, Gbinon, Gomes, Schniedlin and Moise Keen. That lot cost us over 300 million

Look at Josh Bowler at Blackpool. We could developed him into a 1st team player but we stuck with the likes of Walcott who was a busted flush when he signed for us. I just watched Palace and you can see how young players are maturing but we seem to stump the growth of ours. Short term gain isn’t working. We need to give more hungry young players a go and nurture them.

Hes been okay defensive wise and surprisingly he'll bang in a couple decent crosses but ultimately hes not ssuitable as a left back and probably just in his natural position. I remember the spurs game they would just leave him wide open as they knew he wasn't a threat or able carry the ball down the wing. He just too limited, I know mykolenko with everything he's experiencing might not be ideal but kenny just stunts attacks on the left.

Still annoyed at that Wolves free kick he intercepted on the edge of our box. Could have broke away with Grey 2 on 2.. instead just booted it to nobody as soon as he got it. No ability.

He was completely hesitant all game, the worst on the pitch for it in fact. Every time he got it took an age
