Brilliant, the natural successor to Coleman. I hope next season Kenny can be loaned out to a top Championship team until Christmas with a recall option should we need him. He needs tying up long term, looks a great prospect. This experience so far will have been priceless to him. I think Seamus, if he returns as good as he was a year ago, has another three years in him yet.

hes not going on loan, hes a 1st team player now.

We'll be playing one game a week next season on account of being knocked out of the FA Cup in January and finishing outside of the top 6 this season. We won't need two right backs next season. We'll need one first choice, and somebody who can will in in an emergency or injury. Letting Kenny sit on the bench all season will go him no good. Get him on loan with the option of a recall.

nonsense, plus new loan rules dont allow recalls i dont think.
we've seen the problems having only 1 left back is giving us.
kenny will not go on loan thats an absolute cert.

You chat some utter dirge of late. Let's just loan out all our back-ups shall we. Going cracking with Martina at left-back isn't it.

I'm trying not to! I am just of the opinion that Kenny needs to be playing regularly... don't you agree? If we're just playing domestic football next season, why would we stunt his (Kenny's) progression by keeping him on the bench? Coleman will likely by our captain next season, and it makes zero sense to rotate your full backs. Holgate will be in the squad and can play right back in

PS Garbutt should have been registered and will be from January, so no more third choice right backs playing left back for us. I hope you can at least see my argument.

Right so let's say Kenny goes on loan in the Summer with the squad as it is. You say if Coleman I don't know, breaks his leg again, Holgate can play there. What are our CB options then? Who plays RB if Holgate goes down or is needed in CB?

Coleman is first choice, Kenny reserve depending on how Coleman returns.
Holgate is CB first/reserve and at a push back-up RB in a crisis.

Manage the squad properly not try and leave us exposed like we are this season.

Right back options for first 20 games of the season would be Coleman, and Holgate should Coleman get injured, or Lennon as a wing back. Then as I already mentioned, recalling Kenny would always be available.

Centre back options for next season are Keane, one of Williams/Jagielka, Mori plus the new centre back we'll surely sign. That's four CBs excluding Holgate.

Plus we'll have Baines, Garbutt and possibly even a new left back. Next season we have no excuses or reason for being exposed like this.

For me it all depends how Coleman comes back. Until his injury he was extremely reliable and pretty much never missed a game. I don't see the benefit of keeping Kenny sat on the bench just because Coleman *might* get injured. If loans can be recalled, I see absolutely no down side to that.

Since when do teams rotate their full backs? I see Kenny being phased in as first choice in about two years, possibly even three. Once we're back in Europe, then is the time to keep him and use him more. I desperately hope that could be next season, but it appears the gods are against us giving us Chelsea then the RS in both cups.

Everybody is assuming that Seamus is going to come back as good as before but sometimes after an injury like he's had it can be difficult to get back to that level, hope I'm wrong but i think it will take him 6 to 12 months to get back properly IMHO. So even when he's back Kenny will be playing and needed plenty.

You can't recall players on loan outside of transfer windows so irrelevant really.

Why would you want a sort-of RB in Holgate as cover for Coleman and the centre halves? Plus, you're intimating we'll sign x players but who knows what we'll get?

Oh and Spurs regularly rotate their full-backs. So did City.

Holgate is not a right back.

you're on the obvious wind up with that post.
not one part of it should ever be repeated.

Stats can be misleading but I did find these stats per game really interesting and it just shows how well Kenny is doing, surprisingly better than I initially thought. If he keeps this up he could keep Coleman out at RB
